| Mary Miller has struggled to get her three-year-old daughter, who has ADHD, to get to bed at night. Out of desperation, she has resorted to using a mixture of warm milk and whiskey—what she calls a “milksy”—to help her sleep. However, Miller is not happy about using alcohol. “The last thing I want to do is turn my daughter into an alcoholic,” she said.
Instead, Miller wants low-dose marijuana candies to help her daughter and other hyperactive children sleep. “I’m concerned that the dosages in edibles are too high for her. What we need is something that’s suitable for children.”
Miller is now rallying support for her online petition to legalize marijuana candies for children in Pierce County, Washington. |
