| Daisy Link, 29, and Joan Depaz, 24, are currently being held in a Florida prison on murder charges. However, that didn’t stop them from achieving the impossible—they conceived a child without ever being in the same room together.
Link said she and Depaz were able to speak to each other through the air conditioner vent in her cell. They also passed notes and pictures, and a romantic relationship developed.
Depaz shared that he wanted to have a baby, and Link agreed to try.
Eventually, she became pregnant and gave birth to a healthy baby girl. DNA tests confirmed that Depaz is the father.
“She’s a miracle baby, she’s a blessing,” Link said.
The parents now regularly video call their daughter. |
