A Utah high school is under fire after it used Photoshop to censor its yearbook photos which were deemed too sexy.
Editors added sleeves and created higher necklines to cover up bare skin. In one instance, a tattoo was erased.
When the students received the much-anticipated yearbook, they were shocked to see that they appeared to be wearing a different outfit.
“I feel like they’re trying to shame you of your body,” said sophomore Shelby Baum.
The school does not apologize for editing the photos.
“We can help kids better prepare for their future by knowing how to dress appropriately,” superintendent Terry Shoemaker said. |
