Ukrainians Alexandr Kudlay and Viktoria Pustovitova have split up after spending 123 days handcuffed together.
The young couple decided to handcuff themselves together on Valentine’s Day. They wanted to break their cycle of breaking up and making up.
They did everything together, from grocery shopping to cigarette breaks, which they documented on social media. They took turns to use the bathroom and take showers.
They had the bonds removed in front of Ukrainian TV news channels.
“I think it will be a good lesson for us, and for others couples to not repeat what we have done,” Pustovitova told Reuters.
